What is bubble alumina brick?

Bubble alumina brick is a new type of high-temperature insulating material that is melted by industrial alumina in an electric furnace. The crystal form is an A-al2O3 microcrystal. It can be formulated into various shapes to meet specific applications, with the alumina hollow ball as the main body. The maximum use temperature is 1800 °C, and the mechanical strength of the product is high, which is several times that of ordinary light products, but the bulk density is only one-half of that of corundum products.

Advantages of bubble alumina brick

The alumina bubble insulating brick has achieved an obvious effect on reducing the weight of the furnace body, reforming the structure of the furnace body, saving materials, and saving energy. More than 30% of high-temperature energy can be saved.

High temperature of operation

The working temperature can be above 1750 ºC over the long term. It can have a substantially longer life cycle, has strong thermal shock tolerance, and relatively little linear change upon warming.

Lightening the furnace and optimizing the construction

The materials that have been used to withstand high temperatures are currently found in heavy-weight items with bulk densities of 2.6-3.0g/cm. Nonetheless, alumina bubble products have a bulk density of only 1.2–1.5 g/cm. Put another way, employing alumina bubble products allows it to cut weight by 1.1–1.9 tons with the same bulk of one cubic meter.

Conserving resources

Adopting heavy-weight products costs about the same as adopting alumina bubble products when both reach the same working temperature. Significant insulation layer refractory materials are also required. Adopting the alumina bubble series will result in a significant 80% reduction in refractory insulating materials and a weight savings of 1.1–1.9 tons per cubic meter.

Conserving energy

The alumina bubble series has a notable capacity for thermal insulation and low thermal conductivity. This allows it to offer superior thermal insulation effects while lowering heat emission and enhancing thermal efficiency, all of which contribute to the goal of energy conservation.
